About Us

This website content is developed and maintained by the Australian Government PFAS Taskforce. We are responsible for whole-of-government coordination and oversight of Australian Government responses to PFAS contamination.

We help government agencies to share information on PFAS, including their experiences with responding to PFAS contamination. We promote and support national collaboration, cooperation and consistency, and provide information on whole-of-government PFAS matters, including through this website. We also monitor implementation of the Intergovernmental Agreement on a National Framework for Responding to PFAS Contamination, and report to the Australian Government on progress of national responses to PFAS contamination.

We work closely with the government agencies that have regulatory responsibilities, and the government agencies running site investigations, management activities and community engagements.
